The Machines:
- Levers: A lever is a simple machine that uses a plank laid across a special block known as a fulcrum. All classes of levers are discussed on this page. Click for more information.
- Pulleys: A pulley is a machine that uses a rope on a wheel to lift a load. Click for more information.
- Inclined Plane: An inclined plane is another word for a ramp. Click for more information.
- Screw: A screw is made up of threads that are wrapped around a wedge. Click for more information.
- Wheel & Axle: A wheel is a round object that is connected to a cylinder known as an axle so that it spins freely. Click for more information.
